Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026
FANCERT is made by EKPK ("we"). This policy explains what the app stores, what leaves your device, and your choices. The short version: your countdowns and photos live on your phone; an account is optional and exists only so you can share with friends.
What stays on your device
- Countdowns, notes, reminders, artists you follow — stored on your device (and in your private iCloud if you enable iCloud sync; Apple, not we, hosts that data).
- Photos and videos you add to events — stored only on your device and visible only to you. The one exception: the up-to-six items you choose for your profile grid are uploaded as small thumbnails so approved viewers can see them; remove them from the grid and they are deleted from our servers.
- Screenshot import — text recognition runs on your device. The image is not sent anywhere.
What we store if you create an account
Signing in with Apple is optional. If you do, we store: a random user ID, the anonymous identifier Apple gives us, your chosen @handle, display name, bio, emoji, TikTok/Instagram handles you enter, your badges, your public/private settings, who you follow, and the countdowns you explicitly set to "Friends" or "Everyone" (title, date, city, venue, artist). Countdowns set to "Only me" never leave your device. You can delete any of this by removing it in the app or by deleting your account (Settings › Account).
Listening stats
If you connect Apple Music or Spotify, the app reads your top artists and recent plays on your device to show your stats and suggest artists. If you turn on "Show artists I listen to", your top 10 artist names are stored with your profile so friends can see them. Tokens for those services are kept in your device keychain and are never sent to us. Airbuds: we store only the handle you type.
Third-party services
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, iCloud sync, Apple Music (under Apple's terms).
- Spotify — sign-in and playlist creation happen directly between your device and Spotify.
- setlist.fm — setlists are fetched by artist name and date; no personal data is sent.
- Ticketmaster — tour dates are fetched by artist name via our server; no personal data is sent.
- Deezer — artist pictures are looked up by artist name.
- Cloudflare — hosts our server and database.
We do not sell data, we do not show ads, and we do not use advertising trackers or analytics SDKs.
